Business Reporting & Dashboards
Dashboards and scheduled reports that pull sales, finance and operations data into one clear, automatically updated view.
Most businesses already collect plenty of data. It sits in the accounting system, the CRM, the online store, ad platforms and a handful of spreadsheets. The hard part is getting it together in one place, in a form that answers real questions: Are sales on track this month? Which products or services make money? Where is work getting stuck?
We build business dashboards and recurring reports that connect to your existing tools, refresh automatically and show the handful of measures that matter for your goals. Instead of someone spending hours each week copying numbers into a slide deck, the information is ready when you open it.
We work remotely with Microsoft Power BI, Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Excel and the reporting built into tools like HubSpot, QuickBooks and Shopify. We focus on clear definitions, accurate data and layouts that a busy owner or manager can read in a couple of minutes.
In short
What is a business dashboard?
A business dashboard is a single screen that pulls sales, finance, and operations data from separate systems and shows the key measures in one automatically updated view. TechPit Solutions builds dashboards and scheduled reports in Microsoft Power BI, Looker Studio, Google Sheets, or Excel, connects them to accounting software, CRMs, and online stores, and agrees on exactly how each metric is calculated.
- Best for owners and managers who want one view of sales, cash, and operations without logging into several systems.
- Built remotely after a free consultation and a metrics workshop, then tested against your source systems and handed over with a plain-language guide.
Who this is for
- Owners and managers who want a single view of sales, cash and operations without logging into five systems
- Teams that spend hours every week building the same spreadsheet report by hand
- Businesses whose different departments report conflicting numbers for the same metric
- Companies preparing regular updates for partners, investors or a board
- Organisations that have data in several tools but no clear way to compare it
Problems we fix
- Weekly or monthly reports are assembled manually, which takes time and invites copy-paste errors
- Nobody agrees on how key metrics such as revenue, leads or margin are defined
- Data lives in separate systems that do not talk to each other
- Existing dashboards are cluttered with charts that nobody looks at
- Problems are spotted weeks late because numbers are only reviewed at month-end

What our Reporting & Dashboards service includes
Metrics and definitions workshop
We agree with you on the questions the dashboard must answer, the metrics that answer them and exactly how each one is calculated.
Data source connections
Connections to your accounting software, CRM, e-commerce platform, ad accounts, spreadsheets or databases, set to refresh on a schedule.
Data cleanup and modelling
Consistent naming, de-duplication and joins between sources so figures from different systems can be compared reliably.

Scheduled reports and alerts
Automatic email or PDF reports on a weekly or monthly schedule, plus optional alerts when a metric moves outside a range you set.

Benefits
Why it's worth doing properly
One version of the truth
Agreed definitions and shared data sources mean meetings focus on decisions instead of arguing over whose spreadsheet is right.
Hours of manual work removed
Reports that once took a morning to compile refresh on their own, freeing staff for work that needs their judgment.
Earlier warning signs
With current data available any day of the month, dips in sales, rising costs or growing backlogs are visible while there is still time to act.
Clearer communication
Simple, consistent visuals make it easier to share performance with staff, partners or investors without long explanations.
Process
How the work runs
- STEP 01
Assess your data and goals
We learn what decisions you make regularly, which reports exist today and where your data lives, and check its quality and access options.
- STEP 02
Design metrics and layout
We define each metric, sketch dashboard layouts and agree on refresh schedules and who needs access to what before building anything.
- STEP 03
Implement the dashboards
We connect data sources, clean and model the data, build dashboards and scheduled reports, and test the figures against your source systems.
- STEP 04
Monitor and improve

FAQ
Reporting & Dashboards: common questions
Which dashboard tool is right for us?
It depends on where your data lives and who will use the dashboards. Power BI fits well with Microsoft 365 and Excel-heavy teams. Looker Studio works nicely with Google Workspace, Google Analytics and ad platforms. Sometimes a well-built Google Sheet or the native reporting in your CRM is all you need. We recommend the simplest option that answers your questions reliably.
Can you combine data from different systems?
Yes, and that is often the main value. We can bring together data from accounting software, CRMs, online stores, ad accounts and spreadsheets, match records across them and present the results side by side. Where a tool lacks a direct connector, we use APIs, scheduled exports or integration tools to move the data. We will tell you upfront if a source has limits.
How often will the dashboards update?
Refresh frequency depends on the tool and data sources. Many connections can refresh several times a day, while others update daily or on a schedule you choose. For most management dashboards, a daily refresh is plenty. If you need closer to real-time figures for operations, we will discuss what your systems and chosen platform can support.
How much do business dashboards cost?
Cost depends on the number of data sources, how clean the data is, the number of dashboards and metrics, and whether you need advanced features like row-level security or custom alerts. Some reporting tools also carry their own license fees. A single sales dashboard is a smaller job than a company-wide reporting system. Book a free consultation and we will scope it with you.
What if our data is messy?
That is normal. Duplicate records, inconsistent naming and missing fields are common in growing businesses. Part of every project is identifying data quality issues and either fixing them at the source, cleaning them during processing, or both. We also flag process changes that will keep data tidy going forward, so the dashboards stay accurate after we hand them over.
